It starts with chaos.
Ink hits paper and spreads — unpredictable, organic, completely without intention. Then something happens. A face emerges. An animal resolves out of the spatter. A figure that wasn’t there a moment ago suddenly can’t be unseen.
The Fundamental State of Being series explores what lives inside apparent randomness. Each piece begins the same way — ink, water, movement — and arrives somewhere entirely its own. Grotesque faces, creatures, forms that feel ancient and immediate at the same time.
This is what happens when you stop trying to control the work and let it tell you what it is.
