Made with paint, caffeine, & questionable music choices

Apparently I’m in a Literary Journal Now

So this happened: my work is in the Summer 2026 issue of So to Speak, an intersectional feminist literary and art journal, parked right in the visual art section. Fourteen contributors, one curated issue, and somehow a guy who paints in a basement studio in DC made the cut.

I’m not going to play it cool. This one lands different. So to Speak isn’t a pay-to-play situation — somebody actually saw the work, sat with it, and decided it belonged in a conversation about art as commentary, survival, and telling the truth in a world that isn’t making it easy. Which, if you’ve followed the Truth Teller series, is the exact thing I’ve been chasing: the raw, the honest, the stuff we don’t usually say out loud.

Go read the whole issue — it’s right here. The other contributors brought it, and the editor’s letter alone is worth the click.

That’s the news. Back to the easel.

Made with paint, caffeine, and questionable music choices. Now, apparently, journal-approved.
